STANDARD DIABETIC DIET CHART
1800 Kcal. 1 Cup – 150ml (4 oz)
1 Tumbler – 200ml
06:00 AM:
Coffee/Tea (Milk – 100ml) No Sugar, No cream
08:30 AM:
3 Idlis (or) Dosai (or) Chappathis (or) Bread Slices (or) 1 cup of Uppuma (or) Pongal (or) Idiappam with Sambar and Tomato Mint (or) Onion Chutney. For Non-Vegetarians: 1 Egg, and 2 Iddlis (or) alternatives.
10:30 AM:
Buttermilk/Lime Juice/Tomato Juice or vegetable clear soup/tea.
12:30 PM:
(i) Rice – 2 cups (100gms of raw weight), Sambar – 1 cup, Fish – 100 gms (or) Mutton – 4-5 pieces or Chicken 2 pieces, Rasam, Vegetable, Curds – 1 cup.
(or)
(ii) Chappaties – 4 (small) with Dhal, Vegetable and Curd.
(or)
(iii) Rice – 1 ½ cup with Chappati – 1 (small) with Dhal, Vegetable and curd.
(or)
04:00 PM:
Coffee/Tea (Milk-100ml), Biscuits 3 (Marie Arrow root/Manoco or Cream Cracker)
(or)
Sundal – 1 ½ cup, Bread 2 slices or 1 Curd Vadai.
06:00 PM:
Fruit – 1 as allowed
08:00 PM:
Rice 1 ½ cup (75 gms raw weight) or Chappati, Idli/Dosai – 1 (small), Sambar, Rasam, Vegetable, Buttermilk.
BEDTIME
Milk – 100 ml.
