A CME programme
was conducted on various aspects of diabetes on 2nd September, 1989
at VHS Hospital. This was attended by over 200 doctors. |

"International Symposium
and update on Diabetic Foot Problems" held on 3rd November
1990 at Hotel Chola, Chennai. This was attended by over 300 practising
physicians and surgeons of South India. Dr. A.J.M. Boulton, U.K.
was the visiting Professor on the faculty.

"Diabetes in the
young - A global perspective" on 29th January, 1994 at Hotel
Park Sheraton. Dr. EAM Gale, U.K. was the visiting Professor on
the faculty. Attended by over 300 physicians. |

Diabetes, Pregnancy &
Birth on February, 1996 at Hotel Chola Sheraton. Dr. Dorothy R.
Hollingsworth from University of California. San Diego, U.S.A.,
was the visiting Professor on the faculty. Attended by over 500
deligates. |

"Diabetic Food Fair"
at VHS was conducted on 2nd September, 1989. This was attended by
a large number of diabetics and their family members. |

Various Diabetes Detection
cum education Camps in and around Chennai City were conducted by
our Department every year. |

Professor Andrew Boulton and Dr. Ram Gokal from Manchester and Professor
Alan Jackson and Dr. Raj Mani from Southampton (U.K.) will be the
