GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

AVOID
|
|
|
1. Sugar, Sweets, Honey Chocolates, Pastries, Jams, Jellies, Ice-creams, Custards and other associated foods
|
|
|
2. Commercial drinks : Horlicks, Viva, Complan, etc.
|
|
|
3. Soft drinks : Campa-Cola, Limca, ets. and associated drinks like squashes, Rasna, Tang, ets., also tinned fruits and juices.
|
|
|
4. Fried foods : mixture, murukku, bonda, vadai, etc.
|
|
|
5. Dried fruits like dates, figs, raisins ets., & nuts like groundnut, walnut, pista, badam, etc.
|
|
|
6. Avoid Coconut.
|
|
|
7. Fruits like mangoes, sapota, papaya, grapes, jackfruit, bananas, custard apple.
|
|
|
8. Use root vegetables like potato, carrot, beetroot etc., once in 10-15 days.
|
|
|
9. Avoid ghee, dalda, butter, coconut oil, groundnut oil and other saturated fats and oils.
|
|
|
10. Use oil very moderately. (Sanola, saffola, gingelly oil) 3-4 tsp./day.
|
|
|
b. Follow your diet pattern and timings very strictly.
|
|
|
c. Record your weight once in 10 days on the same weighing machine.
|
|
|
d. Avoid snacks
|
|
|
e. Exercise everyday (of waking 40 mts.)
|
|
|
OVERWEIGHT
|
|
|
One cannot resist the temptation of quoting from the old publications of FAO/WHO which states that ‘If a man eats below the average requirement, he becomes thin and wastes away and if he eats above the average requirements he becomes fat and is exposed to the hazards of obesity’.
